Hello! Ovaries…Does that stress hurt you?

What could be the worst nightmare..?

My ovaries having pearls! But, that sounds awesome right! who doesn't like pearls?

But these are not the usual ones. These are those cystic pearls I am talking about.

That hurts right?

Let's talk about these little enemies.

so biologically ...

ovaries are part of the female reproductive system. Eventually, women have two of them each on one side of the uterus. Ovarian disorders are basically, the attack of these little enemies taking place in reproductive age (18-45) which can affect their reproductive system as well as general health which may lead to an adverse mental condition.

You heard it right.

It leads to adverse psychological instability

  • Endometriosis

  • Ovarian cysts

  • Polycystic ovarian disorder

  • Polycystic ovary syndrome

These conditions are accompanied by a chain of symptoms such as obesity, acne, major hair fall and patches, abnormal body hair growth, fertility issues and ultimately resulting in declined mental health leading to anxiety, depression, and in major cases to borderline disorder. Now you get how these small yet so destructive balls destroy the whole system.

Let's sneak peek into some research data.

In one study, the overall prevalence of psychiatric morbidity was 50%, and that anxiety disorder was 38.6%, and depressive disorders were 25.7%. Both the conditions were mild in the majority of cases.

The Indian study from Kashmir that also used a structured clinical interview found an overall prevalence of psychiatric morbidity to be 52.7%. The prevalence of anxiety and depressive disorders was 39% 25%, respectively. A study from Iran, in which patients were evaluated by a psychiatrist reported the prevalence of anxiety disorders to be 35.7% and depressive disorders to be 18.9%.

Having any syndrome with adverse physical issues is a big deal mentally, having these ovarian syndromes is a lifelong process allied with various hardships and thus, to prevent getting these symptoms mentally exhaustive early action is necessary. it's really saddening to see women deny to look into their physical changes and mental instability as well and it's high time to normalize declined mental conditions and visiting psychology experts.

How psychology plays a role here?

We have this fixed state of mind considering that physical and mental conditions we have this fixed state of mind considering that physical and mental conditions are varied in nature. but let me tell you the sure and proven fact mind and body are like best-friends they sail in a single ship and this bond is unbreakable like Idly-Sambhar or Vada-Pav.

Our brain is a master organ that directs the whole system and if the brain isn't happy how do you think your body would work efficiently and thus mental health matters and it's a serious issue there works a science behind it and thus they are highly related.

Thus, it's important to keep our mind happy and healthy, of course, good environment, healthy habits adds the much credit. But first, we need to educate ourselves and others on the importance of psychological well-being.
